The availability of a clean water source is very important because it is a necessity of life. Without clean water we cannot function to our full potential and this affects not only our life style but also those around us and has a constant affect on the economy. The lack of clean water can seriously affect the health of the people drinking the water. By making clean water sources more available this will increase the health of the people by having an immediate impact on the people using the water pump. As more clean water sources appear across Senegal then the populations overall health state would also improve which would have a positive affect on the economy.
Not only would the clean water improve the health of the people but it would also decrease the amount of time spent carrying water from the water sources to their homes. If the pumps were closer to rural villages then they are currently then the people who walk for long distances would save time and could use their energy for other tasks.
Overall water is one of the basic necessities of life. Without it there is no life. We might as well provide clean water so that we can provide healthy lives.
